Key job responsibilities
To succeed in this role you should be passionate about translating data into meaningful insights to answer key business questions. You should have a solid understanding of pricing theories and practices, data mining, and an ability to use the data in financial and statistical modeling. In this role, you will define and understand key business questions related to Amazon Canada's Retail and 3rd party Pricing strategies and relationships, manage efforts to analyze data to answer those questions, and play an integral role in strategic decision-making and building the right technology and solutions. We are looking for a self-starter who is comfortable with ambiguity, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and has the ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. The successful candidate has excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, outstanding business acumen, and an entrepreneurial spirit.
Responsibilities:
1- Gather data and perform sophisticated analytical exercises.
2- Employ data mining, segmentation, and other analytical techniques to capture important trends and create relevant measurement dashboards.
3- Work with various stakeholders to understand drivers, goals, and actionable outcomes using analytics.
4- Drive business decision-making and see projects through to completion by liaising with Business, Product and Tech teams .

At Amazon, you will be working in one of the world's largest and most complex data environments. The Product Manager occupies a unique role at the intersection of business, technology, finance, statistics, data mining, and pricing analytics.
About the team
You will be part of the Amazon Canada Retail Team and will work on pricing strategy across all products (Hardlines, Softlines, and Consumables). You will work closely with the US Hardlines Retail Operations and Initiatives Pricing Team.

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
Experience with end to end product delivery
Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Experience as a product manager or owner
Experience owning technology products
Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights
Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, computer science, data science, engineering, or other related field
Master's degree or equivalent
5+ years of relevant work experience in data science, business analytics, finance, business intelligence (BI), or comparable analytics positions handling large, complex data sets
Advanced SQL and Excel skills to access and transform data into insights
Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities and generate innovative solutions in an extremely fast-paced environment
Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
Ability to solve complex problems quantitatively and develop clear, data-driven business recommendations
Experience leading cross-functional projects with business and technical teams
Experience working with Tableau or similar data visualization tools and SAS/R/Python or similar statistical tools
Experience launching (A/B) Price tests, e-Commerce weblabs, hypothesis analysis and developing decision tree frameworks.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
