Amazon Sr. Product Manager, AVS Customer Engagement in Seattle, Washington


Alexa Built-in (ABI) team is looking for an experienced and customer-centric Senior Product Manager who will lead category decisions through the full product lifecycle (planning, growth, maturity, decline, EOL.). This role will dive deep to understand category success and define what will drive the success. The Senior Product Manager will drive category "health" in terms of business, strategy, and customer satisfaction; the role will lead strategic and tactical discussions directly with partners and internal teams alike to drive evolution within the category. This role will work cross-functionally with business leaders across the company - including Finance, Business Development, Marketing, Product, and Solutions Architects. Successful candidates must work well in a fast-paced, ambiguous, and ever changing environment. Strong data analysis skills, ability to do tradeoff decisions and experience in stakeholders management are critical in this role.

Key job responsibilities

  • Own and manage a portfolio of Alexa 3P product categories across their lifecycle.

  • Develop and lead weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews and company planning processes.

  • Manage and own deep dives of category to bring forth insights and learnings to inform future strategy and prioritize investment across categories and business partners.

  • Retrieve data, find, and share out insights and business strategies, driving prioritization and mitigation of risks substantiated with sound business and category rationale.

  • Identify any risks, delays, or general pain points that may delay product launches or strategic initiatives for partners and for Alexa Built-in.

  • Foster and facilitate alignment across partners and internal teams to drive category success through the full product lifecycle.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

  • Experience owning technology products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $110,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
