DESCRIPTIONAt Amazon Pharmacy our customers come first. We are looking for an operational excellence leader to lead the field deployment of Amazon Pharmacy's continuous improvement. This leader will: develop continuous improvement talent development & training materials, develop cross-functional goals and alignment/planning mechanisms, create a process to develop/implement network standard tools, build a robust kaizen & six-sigma project funnel tied to operational/financial targets, and ensure financial entitlement is met through project validation and operator adoption. This leader's stakeholders will be fulfillment leadership and finance because his/her goals will be mapped directly to the business's financial & strategic goals.Responsibilities include:* Influence, teach and mentor lean/six-sigma methodologies with pharmacy fulfillment leaders* Lead site and network level kaizen/six-sigma improvements both as an individual contributor and as a mentor* Develop an operator facing training program around continuous improvement, lean and 6-sigma* Lead the network continuous improvement business processes (gemba, kaizen/six-sigma project funnel, executive goals & synergies)* Develop mechanisms to benchmark best practices based on data driven performance metrics* Develop the Amazon Pharmacy continuous improvement cycle and ensure a robust project entitlement validation, promotion, deployment and adoption mechanism is developed and implemented* Build lean/six-sigma certification (white, yellow, green and black belt) program to leverage high-talent operators to build a network of continuous improvement leaders within the network* Influence process/design engineering, quality and automation projects and decisions to protect our patients, optimize pharmacy capacity, and remove wasteThe successful candidate will be an experienced natural self-starter possessing:* High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously* Strong project management skills and experience with the ability to influence cross functional and supplier teams to perform against scope, schedule, and budget milestones.* Ability to think strategically and execute tactically* Strong process orientation with experience in process development and improvement* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to influence, negotiate, and develop relationships at all levels of the organization and supplier organizations.* Demonstrate courage when influencing and continually raise the bar when engaging all levels of leadership* Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills and ability to use hard data and metrics to back up recommendations and develop business cases* Demonstrated ability to dive deep in understanding our business, projects, solution designs, technology innovations, and opportunities to improve the effectiveness of our capital equipment procurement processes* Willingness to roll up their sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager / owner mentality/BASIC QUALIFICATIONS* Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization* 5+ years of experience in program or project management* A Bachelor's degree or higher* Experience owning program strategy and end to end delivery* Experience defining and executing against program requirementsAdditional Basic Qualifications* BS or BA Degree in Business, Operations/Supply Chain or Engineering required* 5 years in Operations/Manufacturing, Engineering or equivalent* Travel - Estimated overnight travel is 50%* Six-Sigma/Lean Belted/CertifiedPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPreferred Qualifications:* Master's Degree* 3-5 years of progressive experience in the manufacturing industry with increasing responsibility.* Lean Tool Experience: Cellular
