In this role, you will:
Be accountable for design, architecture, maintenance, and production operational support of our network (Cisco Catalyst/Nexus, Juniper VXLAN Data Center Fabric, along with Aruba Wireless Infrastructure & Cisco Meraki Appliances).
Generate novel approaches, and solutions to business requirements focusing on low cost, long term durable solutions that exceed our internal and external customer's expectations.
Manage and drive cross-functional infrastructure projects from inception to deployment with an especially keen eye for production/operational durability post-deployment.
Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation
Desired Skills and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
5 years of networking experience
3 years of experience utilizing Ansible, AWX, or Python to develop tools/frameworks to orchestrating config application in a Network CI/CD environment.
Complex ISP peering and routing using BGP (SD-WAN, high-performance multi-provider edge)
Mastery of one of the following; Wireless Engineering and Operations (Aruba), Data Center (Cisco and Juniper based), or virtualization/host layer networking.
Demonstrated ability to respond to and rectify the most challenging network operational defects.
Understanding of network management fundamentals and related tools. (LiveNX, SolarWinds, ArubaAirWave,Clearpass, Contrail)
Experience with leading load balancing solutions preferred (F5, AWS ELB/ALB)
Ability to implement and troubleshoot security constructs such as ACLs and basic Firewall rules.
Experience with Security controls such as Network Security TAPs and the analytics that flow from those types of tools for analytical discovery
Experience with Linux systems administration
Familiarity with cloud solutions specifically AWS, GCP & hybrid workload scenarios (on-prem/off)
Understanding of agile methodologies and DevOps concept preferred (ITIL and TOGAF frameworks preferable)
Practical familiarity with SD-WAN or other system orchestrated routing is preferential.
Experience in identifying operational metrics and surfacing those that have a business impact is a critical skill for this role.
Familiarity with JIRA and Sprint focused work in a team environment is crucial in this role.
Experience with all parts of the procurement process from requirements gathering toRFxdevelopment and implementation is a preferred skill.
