ISCaP's Power & Cooling (PAC) team is seeking a results-oriented individual with strong business judgement skills and experience working with internal and external stakeholders to own material planning and open order management for Data Center Power & Cooling Equipment. Our Material Planning Managers are high-energy self-starters that are excited to work across different functions to deliver power and cooling equipment to our data centers globally.

As a member of the Power and Cooling Supply Chain Management Team, you will manage the Americas materials and orders supporting AWS Data Center build projects. This role's primary responsibility is to maintain unconstrained supply on a global scale for the responsible regions and work with our internal customers and business partners to audit and track inventory status and materials from Purchase Order Placed to delivery and drive the appropriate supply strategies to deliver continuity of supply.

This position is located in Seattle, WA, Arlington, VA or Austin, TX.

Key job responsibilities

  • Manage team of Materials Managers for E2E planning and delivery of power and cooling equipment to data centers.

  • Manages the end-to-end planning process for delivering power and cooling equipment by driving the S&OP process, including demand planning, supply planning, consensus, and facilitates S&OP meetings with cross functional partners

  • Serves as S&OP SME for supply chain planning

  • Manage, analyze and reconcile purchase orders internally and externally

  • Work with Suppliers, Global Supply Managers, Sourcing Managers and internal customers to coordinate purchase order changes as well as coordination for delivery. Manage supplier performance as it relates to on time equipment delivery

  • Manage supplier lead times and drive them to meet AWS business requirements

  • Develop analytical reports to deliver information to business partners and stakeholders that support improved decision making and on time deliveries. This includes developing the mechanisms to identify upstream blockers to Purchase order communication to suppliers.

  • Present the performance and metrics associated with on time delivery, manufacturing and shipping lead times for all categories and regions managed.

  • Customer support for internal customers on questions related to open orders is Key

  • Manage and troubleshoot escalations related to damaged deliveries, missing deliveries or quality issues on equipment requiring immediate replacement or field support.

  • Manage cross-functional projects against plans and objectives to meet commitments and goals

  • Manage supply buffers and allocation to shorten lead times and build resiliency into the supply chain without driving excess

  • Drive supplier improvement initiatives to continually lower risk and reduce lead times

  • Influence suppliers' manufacturing processes, technology decisions, and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizations

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain or related fields

  • 6+ years of experience in supply chain management, order management, material planning and/or supply planning role

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in supply chain management, order management, material planning and/or supply planning role

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or Operations preferred

  • 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain (Forecasting, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Inventory Planning, Materials Management, Master Planning, Scheduling, Lifecycle management)

  • Strong Working knowledge of S&OE and S&OP with implementation experience

  • Tools and Advanced Planning Systems Software

  • APICS and/or IBF certification (preferred)

  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience in data centers, an infrastructure service provider or similar technology company

  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience managing a team of direct reports.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $146,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $242,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
