We are seeking an experienced and talented Sr. Marketing Manager to join our team. This crucial role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive content strategy to enhance engagement and downstream actions for our small and medium business (SMB) advertisers on Amazon. As a strategic advisor, you will collaborate and guide key stakeholders to ensure we deliver a holistic customer experience across our 1P channels (email, UI, A20M) and establish a best-in-class advertiser education experience (Seller University, Learning Console). Working backwards from the customer, you will create an on-demand education experience that caters to advertisers of varying expertise and tenure, enabling them to thrive with Amazon Ads products to promote long-term growth. To be successful in this role, you must develop a deep understanding of our core audience and customer journey to comprehend the needs, challenges, and behaviors of our SMB advertiser audience. You will analyze customer data, voice of the customer feedback, and market trends, to help identify gaps in our content strategy. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and channel owners will ensure the content strategy and plan aligns with broader marketing and business objectives - as you will lead the annual content calendar, messaging, creation, and execution plan.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in design and content marketing. A proven track record of delivering strategic projects, driving stakeholder alignment, and executing with minimal oversight. Strong communication skills are essential to earn the trust of key stakeholders across multiple teams. You should be comfortable working autonomously and managing multiple initiatives simultaneously. Balancing creativity with a data-driven approach is essential. Key job responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive education content strategy for SMB advertisers on Amazon

  • Manage the end-to-end content marketing plan, including the annual content calendar, messaging, creation, and tactical execution

  • Work cross-functionally with product marketing, demand marketing, and channel owners to curate relevant and valuable content

  • Write and produce varied content, including but not limited to blog posts, white papers, video, e-learning courses, etc.

  • Thoroughly understand content writing process, including research, fact checking, publication, and distribution

  • Oversee proofreading and edit copy as necessary, ensuring compliance with legal and Amazon policies

  • Partner with subject matter experts to ensure content accurately reflects the strategic value of Amazon Ads products

  • Make data-driven recommendations and report on marketing performance to key stakeholders and leadership

  • Work with internal teams to identify key opportunities, launches, trends and data, and develop content relevant for the customer

  • Analyze, report on, and optimize against key performance metrics

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of driving compelling creative strategy and execution at an agency or in-house creative team experience

  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines

  • Experience developing cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights that drive compelling creative executions

  • Experience leading creative development of innovative creative from concept to delivery

  • Experience prioritizing competing priorities and making related decisions with limited oversight

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience presenting creative concepts effectively to senior executives

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
