Job summaryOur Entertainment, Device and Services (EDS) organization connect our customers to the videos, apps and games they love through our Appstore and related products. The Content and Partner Engagement (CAPE) team are part of the Amazon Devices business and is responsible for bringing the Content from our 3P Partners to the Appstore, Fire TV, and Fire Tablet devices, and driving analytics across our business. We support our developers of these apps and games with the mobile commerce services that power unique experiences in their content. We are looking for an experienced Business Intelligence Leader who wants to build a global analytics team across our digital content business.Key job responsibilitiesWe are seeking an outstanding Senior Manager, Business Intelligence to own all global analytics, data & insights work for 3rd Party Content across our business. As consumers increasingly consume digital content, we need to make agile decisions based on what content appeals to our customers. As an analytics expert and team leader in Content and Partner Engagement, you will have the opportunity to work on one of the world's largest consumer data sets, influence the long-term evolution of our analytics capability and support the expansion of Amazon's digital content across Business Development, Consumer and Developer Marketing, Finance and multiple Product teams. You will be working with all business leaders to develop, define and build models and data sets which would a) Create and manage Data Dashboards & Reporting b) Insights and Deep Dives c) Experiments and Measurement and d) Data Sciences & Modeling.The successful candidate will have a combination of strong data analytical skills, business acumen and people management experience. You will devise and lead the charter on team's technical evolution that paves the way for delivering analytics at scale, building transformational insights and predictive models, and driving quantified impact across the organization. You will be managing a team of Business Analysts, Business Intelligence Engineers and Data Scientists.A day in the life* Deliver insights to help shape strategy across a wide spectrum of business and technology areas, including: customer acquisition, customer lifecycle, mobile application features, Alexa voice features, and music programming.* Lead research and development of foundational business enablers, including: acquisition and lifecycle stage propensity models, customer segmentation models, experimentation metrics, marketing attribution models, and forecast and lift models.* Oversee planning and execution of self-service analytics data infrastructure roadmap using Quicksight* Provide guidance and thought-leadership on analytical best practices to team members and business partners* Partner with our Data Engineering team to build requirements for data infrastructure necessary to facilitate efficient analysis and reporting* Translate analytic insights into concrete, actionable recommendations for business or product improvementBachelor's degree in Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related quantitative fieldExperience working with SQL and ETL developmentExperience in reporting technologies such as Tableau, Power BI, QuickSightExperience of delivering analytical solutions/products at scalePeople management experienceExperience developing successful analytics-based solutions to business problemsStrong interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to explain technical concepts and analysis implications clearly to a wide and senior audience, and be able to translate business objectives into actionable analysisExceptional critical thinking and attention to detailMaster's degree or higher in Statistics, Data Science, or an equivalent quantitative fieldExceptional written and verbal communication skillsProven experiences
