Job summarySr. Human Resources Business PartnerAmazon is seeking a solution focused, organized, self-starter to join our Human Resources team as a Sr. HR Business Partner to support the Amazon Private Brands organization. This is a dynamic, global organization, focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience through innovative technology. If working with smart, creative people from both tech and non-tech functions to delight our customers sounds interesting, this job is for you.In this position, you will partner with members of the Amazon Private Brands Leadership Team along with their respective leadership teams to develop and execute HR strategies that support organizational growth and foster people effectiveness. You will think strategically, provide broad scale thought partnership and roll up your sleeves and dive deep into practical application. You will serve as a liaison between the business and the central corporate teams to assess the human resources needs in areas such as performance management, employee relations, compensation, career development and leadership development. This role also provides strong project management to various HR initiatives & company-wide HR projects. The role reports to the HR Leader for Amazon Private Brands.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:* Work with senior management to develop and implement HR plans and solutions in order to achieve strategic business initiatives and deliver results.* Partner with business leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, succession planning, and skills assessment.* Review and analyze data to identify trends and recommend innovative solutions to improve performance, retention, and employee experience.* Provide management coaching and training to build leadership capabilities to address and resolve employee issues.* Plan, manage and provide continuous improvement to all aspects of the client organization and leadership review process and the strategic objectives therein. This includes both annual and mid-year processes which focus on performance management and talent development.* Provide compensation support including salary planning, approval of salary actions, promotions and job re-leveling.* Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations.* 5+ years' work experience in an HR Generalist/Business Partner role including performance management, change management, and employee communications* Bachelor's degree in related discipline* Superior coaching and influencing skills* Strong business and HR acumen* Experience with business and technology teams and a track record of influencing through data-driven recommendations* Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives* Demonstrated ability to coach managers to use company best practices for maximum effectiveness* Proven ability to successfully work as a team member and to build and maintain a positive work environment* Experience working in an entrepreneurial environment requiring strong multi-tasking abilities* Experience with MS Office Suite, HRIS system experience (i.e. PeopleSoft)* HR experience supporting tech teams or in a tech company* Experience in the development and administration of HR programs* Experience in assessing management and executive talent* Excellent presentation skills* A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement* Excellent verbal and written communication skills* Positive and dependable team player* Resilient and able to thrive in a fast paced environment with a high level of energy and sense of humorAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
