AWS Applications and Higher-Level Abstractions (Apps) organization provides horizontal and industry vertical applications for business users with the same on-demand scalability, reliability, pay-as-you-go pricing, and machine learning expertise that drive AWS services. The AWS Applications group includes services such as Amazon Connect (a cost-effective cloud contact center), our End User Computing (including Amazon Workspaces, AppStream, etc.), Marketing Tech (Amazon Pinpoint), and Autonomous Checkout and Biometric Identity Services (Just Walk Out, Amazon One) for retail, sports, travel, and other verticals. We’re looking for an experienced HR Business Partner to become an integral part of the leadership team focused on Autonomous Retail solutions, partnering with business clients to help find, grow and keep the Earth’s best talent.

This is a true HR Business Partner role. You will be both hands on and strategic, providing human resource leadership in the development and implementation of HR strategies that foster growth, innovation and organizational effectiveness. This role will help senior business leaders look around corners with data-driven recommendations that improve performance, retention and the employee experience. We are seeking someone who can effectively interact with business leaders at all levels, possesses excellent communication skills, strong business acumen, and works effectively across multiple geographies. Whether coaching your clients on leading their teams, navigating and resolving organizational effectiveness issues or developing innovative solutions and programs to deliver results for our business, you will be the champion of Amazon's culture and values, partnering with your clients to help them build customer obsessed teams. This role will lead an HR team with global responsibility and also work closely with other HR resources and teams to drive key initiatives and projects in areas such as organization design, diversity, and leadership development.

This role will be based in Seattle, WA. This is a hybrid role (3 days a week in office) because we believe it is easier to learn, model, practice, and strengthen our culture when we're in the office surrounded by our colleagues.

Key job responsibilities

• Partner with PXT team members and business leadership to create and execute key people initiatives, across a broad range of HR functional areas and geographies

• Influence, coach and develop senior leaders for a growing organization

• Engage with senior leaders and specialist subject matter experts - such as Talent Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Talent Acquisition, etc. - to define and design organizational accelerators

• Think big about how to implement long-term strategic initiatives like workforce planning, PXT effectiveness, and talent development programs

• Work with the business to drive actions based on organizational insights, reimagine talent reviews and champion IXT initiatives to have broad impact.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience

• 10+ years of experience in an HR Business Partner leadership role and/or HR Program Manager role that is business facing, preferably in a high tech environment supporting large businesses

• 5+ years experience working with global teams, driving organizational change initiatives, and developing talent management plans for a global organization

• Superior analytical skills. Experience using and presenting data to make decisions.

• Experience managing cross-functional projects and initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Human Resources or MBA

• Global HR experience

• Direct people management experience

• Strong business acumen, with demonstrated ability to grow and develop senior business leaders

• Experience developing long-term business and people strategy for a technical organizations

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $253,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
