Amazon is focused on protecting the health and safety of our employees while continuing to serve people who need our services more than ever. Regular testing on a global scale across all industries would both help keep people safe and help get the economy back up and running. But, for this to work, we as a society would need vastly more testing capacity than is currently available. Unfortunately, today we live in a world of scarcity where COVID-19 testing is heavily rationed. Until we have an effective vaccine available in billions of doses, high-volume testing capacity would be of great help, but getting that done will take collective action by NGOs, companies, and governments.For our part, Amazon has begun the work of building incremental testing capacity. We are seeking an experienced HR leader to partner with a group of central, senior business leaders who are driving this project. These leaders collectively lead a diverse set of critical functions, including Product Management, Tech, Operations, and Supply Chain. The HR leader who partners with this team will drive core people priorities that are critical to the organization's health, such as employee engagement, manager effectiveness, maintaining a diverse and inclusive workforce, top talent retention, and raising the performance bar. This requires the ability to dive deep into data to develop insights, connect these insights with qualitative data, and develop and implement high-impact, innovative recommendations.This leader must have the interest and ability to dive deep into business priorities to help senior leaders optimize business outcomes through levers such as organizational design and high-judgment senior talent placement. They must also build close relationships with senior leaders to influence them on organization and coach them effectively on leadership effectiveness. Finally, this individual will drive people processes such as Talent Reviews, succession planning, and the annual performance and compensation process.If you get energized by mission-driven work, healthcare-driven businesses, and a deep partnership with business leaders to drive high-impact HR strategies, this is the role for you!Basic Qualifications* 5+ years of experience in an HR generalist leadership role* Strong business acumen and ability to work well across different functions in order to integrate HR and business strategies* Proven ability to surface insights, root cause issues, and drive action plans by drawing on a diverse toolkit of people insight, data analysis, and strategic thinking skills* Experience driving organizational change initiatives* Exceptional listening skills and ability to relate to, influence, and coach employees of all levels in the organization, including senior leaders* Excellent written and verbal communication; high quality document writing and presentation skills* Resilience and ability to thrive in a fast paced, start-up environment with a high level of energy and sense of humor* Bachelor's DegreeAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
