The AIS Supply Chain Team is looking for a results-oriented and self-driven individual to own supply management for Data Center Power & Cooling Equipment. Our Supply Managers are experts in their industries who deliver the supply that helps drive the explosive growth of AWS. This individual needs to have proven background in Supply Chain Management, New Product Introduction (NPI) and Supplier Management to support the rapid innovation and growth in Liquid Cooling space. This role provides the opportunity to lead the supply chain development to support the liquid cooling deployment to our advanced cloud infrastructure systems.

The successful candidate for this position will be self-initiated, have a high sense of urgency and driven to achieve the defined program goals and supplier management.

Key job responsibilities

This role provides a unique opportunity to develop a global supply chain in NPI phase and transition to the owner of the global supply chain in sustain phase for liquid cooling category.

In this role you are responsible for identifying, selecting and qualifying the right suppliers for new products and technology pertaining liquid cooling. You will work very closely with Data Center Engineering (DCE) team, collaborate with Technical Program Managers (TPM) and other cross functional teams, and lead the supply chain development for liquid cooling development and deployment of advanced cloud infrastructure solutions. You will maintain unconstrained supply on a global scale for liquid cooling category in sustain phase and work with internal customers and business partners to understand demand signals and drive the appropriate supply strategies to deliver continuity of supply.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead liquid cooling supply chain design, supply base development and logistics decisions, and supply chain execution through the product development cycle.

  • Develop NPI supply chain and sourcing strategy including identification and selection of the right suppliers, cost analysis, supplier production capacity planning and demand allocation, product transition strategy, and supply chain risk assessment & mitigation plans.

  • Collaborate with DCE, TPMs and other cross functional team on liquid cooling product roadmap development, influence supplier and technology selection, and product manufacturing model decisions that provide the most benefit to AWS business.

  • Lead post launch supplier performance management to ensure suppliers to deliver good quality equipment and service at competitive cost per required delivery schedule.

  • Manage supplier lead times and drive them to meet AWS business requirements

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Business or relative technical field

  • 8+ years of supply chain experience

  • 5+ years of experience in new product introduction, project or product management, or leading supply chain strategy development and implementation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry experience in data center liquid cooling.

  • MBA or advanced degree in supply chain management or other quantitative disciplines.

  • Global procurement experience.

  • Demonstrated performance in prior role(s), with increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Experience in data centers, an infrastructure service provider or similar technology company.

  • A desire to grow professionally as the role’s responsibility grows rapidly with the business.

  • Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answer.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
