Job Description

A leading Marine Terminal Operator, based in the Seattle area, is looking to add a highly skilled and detailed Financial Accountant to their team! The Sr Financial Reporting Accountant is responsible for applying accepted accounting principles and procedures to analyze financial information and prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with US GAAP. A successful candidate in this role will be analyzing complex financial reports to ensure all are recorded accurately, preparing financial statements/reporting to assist in preparing budgets according to schedule, reviewing and recommending modifications to systems and procedures, and more. Skills and Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Business with an emphasis in Accounting

  • 2-4 years of progressively responsible work experience in accounting

  • Public accounting or advisory experience required

  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

  • Familiarity with statutory accounting principles

  • Strong analytical and accounting skills

  • Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, etc.

  • Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment null
