Aston Carter Sr. Financial Analyst in Seattle, Washington

Job Title: Sr. Financial AnalystJob Description

We are seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team, working onsite at Seatac Airport. This role involves an 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. shift from Monday to Friday. The Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for financial analysis, performance reporting, forecasting, budget development, and providing strategic input on business issues and opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor the financial performance of assigned business units/cost centers.

  • Perform variance analysis, identify and resolve financial reporting issues, and summarize results for presentation.

  • Develop and maintain current year and long-term forecasts for assigned lines of business.

  • Prepare and present reasonable forecasts based on relevant data and input from directors and business managers.

  • Develop and track key performance measures through moderate to complex financial analyses.

  • Evaluate new revenue-generating opportunities or changes to existing operations and present recommendations.

  • Perform moderate to highly complex financial modeling and maintain multiple complex financial models.

  • Prepare year-end settlements and detailed account reconciliations as needed.

  • Manage the budget development process for revenues and operating expenses related to specific lines of business.

  • Prepare and deliver budget presentations to internal and external customers.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in a finance partner/FP&A role supporting various lines of business.

  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Proficiency in performing detailed reconciliations, creating and maintaining complex financial models, and gathering/evaluating data from various financial reporting systems.

  • Strong understanding of financial accounting and financial reporting concepts.

  • Ability to identify, research, and resolve financial reporting discrepancies.

  • Capability to work with cross-functional teams and meet quick turnaround deadlines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey financial impacts to various audiences, including non-financial staff.

  • Proficiency in financial analysis and presenting variance results.

  • Experience in updating and maintaining complex models.

  • Skill in reviewing business performance and developing reports to communicate financial information.

  • Competence in developing reasonable forecasts with solid supporting documentation.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A).

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables.

  • Ability to develop and maintain complex financial models.

Work Environment

This position is based onsite at Seatac Airport, working above the main airline check-in terminals. The role involves supporting specific lines of business in the Aviation Division. The assignment is initially for a few months but has the potential to be extended based on performance and business needs.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $50.00/hr.
