Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to be a key member of the AWS Checkout and Identity Technologies Finance Team. This is a unique place where you get to support a fast growing business that combines retail and cloud technologies of Amazon. This role will own business partnership with multiple functional Tech and Operations teams while managing related financial planning and forecasting. Additionally, this role will drive strategic projects with various Tech teams related to cost reduction. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively, manage multiple time sensitive deliverables across a highly matrixed organization, along with managing risks and opportunities. The individual will also possess strong business partnership skills and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders.

Key job responsibilities

Lead financial planning and forecasting related to JWO Tech teams; build complex financial models and analytical tools to measure overall financial performance.

  • Own the Cost Curve forecasting model and process related to JWO Tech while partnering with several upstream Tech teams.

  • Identify opportunities for efficiency improvements including automation and coordination with upstream and downstream organizations.

  • Partner with finance teams across AWS to standardize, streamline, and prioritize improvements, remove roadblocks, and increase the reliability and efficiency of reporting.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

  • 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $60,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $128,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
