Description

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team based in Seattle, Washington. The successful candidate will be involved in various accounting tasks in the telecom industry, including the preparation of journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, and financial statements. This role also involves communication with various stakeholders and assisting with the optimization of accounting procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial information using accepted accounting principles and procedures to prepare accurate and timely financial statements.

• Support the monthly close and consolidation process, including the preparation of journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations.

• Prepare various management accounting reports as needed for monitoring of operating trends, margin analysis, and more.

• Maintain open lines of communication with various terminal managers and/or joint venture partners, answering questions regarding the monthly results of their operation.

• Assist the Billing department and outside parties in researching unusual results or incomplete information.

• Analyze variances between financial results month-over-month and quarter-over-quarter.

• Prepare and review various stand-alone audit reports.

• Assist with the optimization of accounting procedures, including process improvement initiatives.

• Use Microsoft Excel and other software to perform tasks such as account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger management, and financial analysis.

• Prepare financial statements in compliance with US GAAP.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $95,000.

Requirements • Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations

• Experience with general ledger management and journal entries

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with month-end close procedures

• Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP

• Proven skills in financial analysis and financial statement preparation

• Experience with job cost and variance analysis

• Background in audit procedures

• Ability to optimize accounting processes

• Experience in process improvement within an accounting context
