As a Sr. Account Manager you will have the exciting opportunity to help drive the growth and shape the future of an emerging technology. Your responsibilities will include driving revenue, adoption, and market penetration in enterprise accounts. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive an engagement at the CXO level as well as with software developers and IT architects. You should also be a self-starter who is prepared to develop and execute against a territory coverage plan and consistently deliver on quarterly revenue targets.

Key job responsibilities

  • Drive revenue and market share in a defined Retail/CPG industry vertical

  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets

  • Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan

  • Create & articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services

  • Accelerate customer adoption

  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline

  • Work with partners to extend reach & drive adoption

  • Manage contract negotiations

  • Develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts

  • Ensure customer satisfaction

  • Expect moderate travel

About the team

The AWS Retail CPG US Sales team is responsible for serving the needs of medium to large enterprise customers based in the Retail CPG Industry. Our team takes pride in leading customers through an accelerated and innovative cloud journey and creating long-term business relationships of value and trust. As part of the AWS Retail CPG US Central/West Sales team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a motivated team that values and encourages diversified perspectives and ideas to best equip customers with the most innovative and comprehensive solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • 7+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience

  • Experience identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing large-scale technology deals

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience

  • Experience developing detailed go to market plans

  • Experience proactively growing customer relationships within an account while expanding their understanding of the customer's business

  • Experience selling AI/ML solutions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives.
