Amazon S&P Sr Program Manager, SMGS Ops - Segmentation & Planning in Seattle, Washington

Description

We are looking for a creative, dynamic, and results-driven Sr. Program Manager to drive Sales Planning programs and initiatives that will drive growth, scale, and excellence across Sales Planning motions. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who’s passionate about solving strategic and often ambiguous problems, supporting both internal and external customers, and leading cross-functional teams to run, execute, and administer key projects and processes. You will collaborate with multiple global teams to leverage existing mechanisms and create new ones to reach our goals. You will act as an advocate on behalf of the team to design and prioritize work with stakeholders.

The successful candidate will take projects from ideation through completion with appropriate urgency, respond quickly to to situations that require a quick turnaround, switch gears at a moment's notice, and take effective action.

Key job responsibilities

  • Scope strategic initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders, customers, and partners, and recommend solution options, timelines, and resources

  • Drive end-to-end simplification of sales planning practices to support AWS scale and growth

  • Develop milestones and project launch schedules supporting worldwide AWS Sales Planning initiatives

  • Apply risk management best practices to mitigate issues, identify operational inefficiencies and improve processes

  • Develop measurable benchmarks and reporting to evaluate team direction and progress

  • Partner and collaborate with cross functional teams across AWS

  • Take on ad hoc related projects as necessary

About the team

AWS’s Sales, Marketing, and Global Operations Segmentation and Planning (SMGS Ops S&P) team provides the technology, tools, and processes to support the rapidly growing worldwide AWS Sales organization. This includes finding inventive ways to develop policy, processes, and proprietary tooling and scale the business, which will be critical for AWS to continue its incredible growth.

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of Microsoft Excel experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience developing and implementing systems/tools utilized for CRM, variable compensation, revenue reporting, forecasting, Salesforce automation, etc.

  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using Salesforce (or other CRM tool) or BI tools

  • Experience presenting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $120,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $199,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
