As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, you will manage the development of software critical for the verification of various spaceflight systems. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of hardware and software verification. Working with the director of software engineering for New Glenn Avionics, you will lead a world-class software development team responsible for delivering and maintaining the software infrastructure that supports our verification. You will be responsible for growing the team hiring top talent software engineers, coaching existing and new team members, prioritizing tasks, running sprints, coordinating work you're doing with the internal customers, and collaborating closely with other software, hardware, and product teams. We expect our managers to fully understand our technology and be deeply involved in solving technical problems with the team. Qualifications: B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in software development. 3+ years of experience working with embedded software, kernel development, BSPs, or other systems software components. 2+ years leading and managing teams and organizations. Experience with agile software development practices. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired: Experience managing testing labs and other verification environments. Knowledge in the area of hardware development and verification. M.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, or related field. Experience developing to DO-178C or other safety-critical software standards.
