TITLE: Software Engineer
EMPLOYER: Stripe, Inc.
DUTIES: Design, build and maintain APIs, services and systems across Stripe engineering teams using Ruby, Java, and Go; Build software infrastructure, including developing, testing and deploying it; Design and develop software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design; Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation; Debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the stack; Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine the feasibility of design within time and cost constraints; Work with engineers across the company to build new features at large-scale; Build new systems to securely store sensitive data; improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes.
LOCATION: Seattle, WA (and various unanticipated work locations across the U.S.)
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field and 1 year of Software Engineering experience.
Position requires the following:
1 year of experience working with high-level programming languages such as Ruby, Java, Python, or Go;
1 year of Software engineering experience building backend services at scale;
1 year of experience in implementing industry standard design patterns;
1 year of experience of designing, implementing, testing and deploying services;
1 year of experience of operating services; and
1 year of experience using SQL or related query languages to perform data analysis.
SALARY: $172,300 to $182,300/year and standard employee benefits.
