Wayfair LLC seeks Software Engineer 3 (Multiple Positions) in Seattle, WA: Job Duties: Design, develop and maintain highly scalable eCommerce systems. Perform design and full stack development to create reusable application components. Design and develop technical stack using technologies such as Python, PHP, Java, C#, JavaScript, React, Swift, Kotlin, Scala, SQL Server or related technologies. Interface with product managers and stakeholders to perform requirements gathering. Perform code development and production deployment to create applications that meet business needs. Define test plans and perform unit testing. Deploy application code into server environments. Perform peer code review. Mentor less-experienced software engineers. May supervise a team of more junior software engineers. Position is fixed location based in Seattle, WA office; however, telecommuting may also be allowed. Minimum Requirements: Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems/Management, Information Technology, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a directly related field plus two (2) years of software engineering experience or in a software developer or related role. OR, in the alternative, will accept a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems/Management, Information Technology, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a directly related field plus five (5) years of progressive, post-bachelor's experience in software engineering experience or in a software developer or related role.
Special Skill Requirements: Experience must include one (1) year of experience in at least five (5) of the following (experience may be gained concurrently):
- Design and development using Python, Java, PHP, HTML/CSS, C#, Scala, React, JavaScript, Typescript, Swift, Kotlin, Go, SQL, or .Net;
- Version control using Git or SVN;
- Creating scalable back-end or front-end applications using HTML, CSS, PHP, Angular, Vue, React, React Native, Flask, FastAPI, Spring, or Dotnet Core;
- Full-stack web programming and development to ensure cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility using PHP, JavaScript, React, Angular, jQuery, Mustache, Kafka, Kafka Connect, Avro, Redis, Elasticsearch, Airflow, Hive, Vertica, Apache, Spark, Storm, Aerospike, SOLR, Docker, or Kubernetes;
- Defining test plans and performing/executing unit testing for deployment;
- SQL database development such as designing queries, triggers and stored procedures, performance tuning, GraphQL, or data ETL;
- Scripting with Python, Shell, Transact SQL, or PowerShell;
- Utilizing Jenkins, Hudson, Control-M or Puppet to deploy application code into server environments;
- Web or application development experience;
- Utilizing infrastructure automation tools, including Terraform, or Packer.
