HyperPlane is looking for an Engineering Lead to own a set of critical services that enable that enable various products such as NAT, Load Balancing and Private Network connectivity for customers. You will be responsible for growing the service to handle new use-cases and new scale. This team manages the core distributed system that tracks and routes connections for workloads ingressing and egressing the AWS network. As the Engineering Lead, you will grow a team of strong engineers and guide them through their careers. You will have a significant voice in the technical and business direction of the service and the team.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· 7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teams

· Experience partnering with product OR program management teams

· 3+ years of people management experience, managing engineers

· 3+ years of experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

· Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field

· 7+ years' software experience in a modern programming language, such as Java, Scala, C or C++.

· 3+ years' experience managing and developing direct reports (performance review communication, accountability, motivation/engagement)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MS in Computer Science or related field

· Technically sound in software development activities and life cycles

· Experience with large scale distributed systems

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Internet and operating system security fundamentals
