Job Information

Amazon Software Development Manager, GCNA in Seattle, Washington

Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) operates one of the largest and most complex networks in the world. Network Availability Engineering (NAE) provides the tools and services that monitor and remediates events on this network in order to make it indistinguishable from perfect - after all, it underpins everything our customers do with Amazon.

Our Data Management and Research (DMR) team owns a streaming data exchange that routes, transforms, and enriches network device telemetry as it passes between our systems. DMR is looking for a leader who is as passionate about growing individual team members as they are about pushing the limits of a large-scale distributed system that runs hundreds of millions of transactions per second with petabytes of storage.

You will join a tenured organization of Software Development Engineers, System Development Engineers, Data Engineers, Scientists, and Software Development Managers working together to build the best solutions for our Network. As a leader of the DMR team, you will own the development and operations of this data exchange for the delight of our partners and customers.

The ideal candidate has experience driving change across diverse objectives, without compromising service integrity. You have the ability to own the development lifecycle as well as the continuous testing and deployment of both streaming and analytics systems. You draw from a breadth of expertise to both mentor engineers and complete your own hands-on technical work. You provide leadership on complex issues by building trust out of good data.
