Within Softlines Discovery, the Marca team's mission is to develop machine learning solutions for brands on Amazon. We build ML models and large-scale infrastructure to host our models and support a range of brand-related decision-making at Amazon. We are looking for a passionate and innovative Software Development Engineer who loves solving hard problems and is excited about working on an ML-centric team. You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define our core system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.

Job responsibilities

As a member of our team, you will be:

• Significantly influencing our overall strategy by driving the system architecture and spearheading the best practices that enable a quality product.

• Working on the core engineering infrastructure to support a large-scale machine learning model integrated into various complex downstream production systems.

• Using cutting edge technologies, including machine learning, to process various data sources to improve our machine learning models.

• Working with a group of top-notch software developers and applied scientists, and seasoned product managers.

Basic Qualifications

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

• Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
