The team solves complex large scale challenges through innovative technology and approach.As a Software Development Engineer in Test on this team, you will be leading test automation and infrastructure development, test new design and architectural choices which have a significant impact on our systems, our business and most importantly, our customers. You will be working directly with Developers and QA Engineers to ensure quality development and quality of our cloud services and platform SDKs. This includes, but is not limited to Greater Bay Area, CA; Denver, CO; Greater Denver Area, CO;Key job responsibilities* Design and develop our automation framework which can run use-cases, scenarios and situations end-to-end* Lead and manage test planning and strategy across several unit development teams for a concise and unified game plan of product validation* Build and ensure our code "artifactory" is building in CI/CD fashion.* Work with individual unit teams to ensure the Test strategy is realized and implemented, ensuring the correctness and completeness of testing through automated solutions (CR, unit, integration and E2E)* Partner with our business drivers to help analyze our current data to build usage models for the future which will become the backbone of our test planning and strategy.* Contribute streamlined automated data for our engineering dashboards to make data driven decisionsA Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Computer science, Software engineering or a related field3+ years of experience with major time designing and building automation frameworksExperience in Java (or C# or C++) and knowledge of scripting languages like PERL, JavaScript or Python.Test strategy development and TestCase EnumerationDemonstrated knowledge of professional software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build and release processes, continuous deployment, and test suite development and maintenanceDemonstrated experience utilizing high-quality automation to solve test problemsSoftware QA automation experience working with one or more of the following technologies: PHP, CSS, HTML, Java, Java Script, Python, PERLKnowledge of industry standard test automation tools and experience in developing product test harnesses and instrumenting products to gather test resultsExperience automating the validation of modern user interfaces and messaging infrastructuresGood communication skills and the ability to generate and communicate meaningful development metricsExpert in software quality and testing methodologies / patternsComfortable working in a fast paced, highly collaborative, dynamic work environmentExperience/Knowledge about communication protocols, architecture and platforms is a plusExperience developing in a Linux environmentExperience in Mobile (iOS / Android) testing strategy is a plusAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
