Job Information Services LLC Software Development Engineer II (multiple positions available) in Seattle, Washington

Job Purpose:Serves customers by planning, monitoring, evaluating, and updating network system; managing staff.Duties:* Accomplishes network engineering human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies and procedures.* Achieves network engineering operational objectives by contributing network engineering information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining administrative system improvements; implementing change.* Meets network engineering financial objectives by forecasting network engineering requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.* Plans networks by analyzing facility locations, circuit availability, and subscriber concentration; studying system usage for switching, transmission, cable, and building facilities and long-range requirements; analyzing trends in technology.* Maintains network by monitoring system; establishing and updating maintenance policies and procedures; conducting inspections and tests.* Updates network by developing designs and modifications; scheduling and coordinating activities; testing and evaluating results.* Maintains network database by developing information requirements; designing and updating information system; auditing data input.* Provides network management information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing transmission and switching data and trends.* Updates job knowledge by participating in trade shows and educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.* Accomplishes network engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.Skills/Qualifications:Management Proficiency, Tracking Budget Expenses, Project Management, People Management, Problem Solving, Networking Knowledge, LAN Knowledge, Proxy Servers, Network Troubleshooting, Network Hardware Configuration, Network Performance Tuning
