In this role, you will work with other talented engineers to develop new features and support a service hosting a variety of Amazon applications accelerating marketers, vendor managers, developers, and more. As Amazon's recommended systems to create Amazon applications, we pride ourselves on being the quickest and easiest way to spin up single page applications. You will be a part of a team accelerating thousands of developers and helping them save more than 100,000 development hours yearly. You will have a direct impact on not only retail pages but also on Amazon productivity across all of Amazon.

Key job responsibilities

  • Build new highly requested features used by Amazon employees to accelerate app development

  • Work directly with teams looking to find the best service to start developing their applications

  • Design new features and improve existing architecture to solve customer problems

  • Dive into security and compliance to ensure that we are providing the most secure experience for our users

  • Utilize GenAI to support both app users and app developer productivity

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Seattle, WA, USA

Basic Qualifications

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

  • 1+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

  • Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence

  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems

  • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
