Actalent Software Developer In Test in Seattle, Washington

Job Description:

The MTE (Manufacturing Test Engineering) team is seeking a qualify Software Developer in Test (SDET). Candidate will be working with a cross-functional composed of SDETs and Hardware Engineers and interacting with their contract manufacturer.

SDET's role will develop test code that will integrate into contract manufacture's GUI so they can run software tests on product. Candidate will need to be able to debug test failures including tester hardware, GUI software, or device hardware issues. Candidate will need to be proficient in developing and testing code in one or more of the following programming languages, Python, C#, C++

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • Candidate will be working with a cross functional team to create test plans for devices, and debug issues. They will also be responsible for interacting with their contract manufacture to validate testing plans and provide feedback and approvals. Ideal candidate must have great communication ability.

  • Candidate will be knowledgeable in Linux, python, C#, and bash scripting and C++ programming.

  • DLL (Dynamic Link Library) development and integration with contract manufactures GUI (Graphical User interface) and architecture

  • Creating DLL frameworks in C#

  • Create functions within DLL as an API that their contract manufacturer can call, and functions should be able to interact with firmware commands.

  • Create validation test codes

  • Create a testing hardware platform for validation testing

  • Debug DLL and firmware issues that are identified during validation

  • Create software executables that are utilized within DLL.

  • Create software validation pipelines on Amazon infrastructure to run validation test remotely and automatically.

  • Create test station setup document including the hardware equipment setup and software tools setup.

  • Work with the cross-functional teams to define limits for test outputs.

  • Run SQL queries for the data analysis and debug deep dive.

  • Review validation data from the CM and provide feedback and approvals.

  • Work with CM to debug test failures including tester hardware, GUI (Graphical User Interface) software or device hardware issues.

  • Write debug SOPs (Standard Operating Procedure) for the CM to follow

  • DOE (Design of Experiment) test plan for deep dive into the issues.

  • Review tester/fixture design with the CM and provide Feedback
