The Builders Tools team within AWS may be the right place for you. As a part of our team of builders, not only will you be contributing to software tools that are used by tens of thousands of engineers, but you will also be building tools and platforms at AWS scale.On this team, you will help shape the future of test automation at Amazon by delivering features for one of our most leveraged testing tool at Amazon. You will partner with your manager and other leaders to grow the vision for this space and work with your team to build tools that delight our customers.Key job responsibilitiesParticipate in the design, development, implementation, testing and documentation of large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems and services using [Java, Object Oriented Design and Distributed Programming].Collaborate with your manager and other area leaders to shape the vision and roadmap for test automation and test generation.Grow your team by mentoring junior engineers and interns.* 1+ years of experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.* 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience* Programming experience with at least one software programming language.* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field* Equivalent experience to a Bachelor's degree based on 3 years of work experience for every 1 year of education* 2+ years professional experience in software development* Computer Science fundamentals in object-oriented design* Computer Science fundamentals in data structures* Computer Science fundamentals in algorithm design, problem solving, and complexity analysis* Proficiency in, at least, one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Ruby* Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers* Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations* Ability to take a project from scoping requirements through actual launch of the project* Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.* Proficiency in, at least, one modern dynamic programming language such as Ruby, Python, Javascript* Knowledge of the latest developer tools across the software development workflow (coding, building, deployment, operations, task tracking, real-time communication)Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
