We are offering a contract employment opportunity in Seattle, Washington for a Social Media Specialist. This role is crucial as it involves leveraging various social media platforms to enhance the not-for-profit's online presence, drive user engagement, and support marketing and business objectives. The position requires a keen understanding of emerging trends and technologies in the digital space, along with proficiency in social media analytics tools. This role is PART TIME and preferably ON SITE in Seattle.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and online presence

• Create and manage social media campaigns and daily posts across platforms like Facebook, Google+, Instagram, and others

• Use analytic tools like Google Analytics, Facebook Insights, and Hootsuite to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of social media campaigns

• Work closely with the graphic design team to create engaging content and visuals for social media posts

• Plan and execute advertisement strategies on various social media platforms

• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities, adjusting our strategy as needed

• Use blogging as a tool to engage with our audience and promote our brand

• Develop monthly reports on emerging social media trends to be presented to the management and executive teams

• Work collaboratively with the marketing team to align social media strategies with other marketing efforts

• Manage customer interactions on social media platforms, responding to queries in a timely and accurate manner.

Requirements • Demonstrable experience as a Social Media Specialist or similar role

• Proficiency in using Facebook Insights, Google+, Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and Instagram for social media marketing

• Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels

• Ability to grasp future trends in digital technologies and act proactively

• Experience in creating targeted content that generates shares, interactions, and increased visibility

• Strong skills in creating original text and video content, managing posts, and responding to followers

• Practical knowledge of SEO, keyword research, and Google Analytics

• Understanding of web traffic metrics and the ability to interpret website traffic and online customer engagement metrics

• Experience in implementing advertising campaigns and strategies

• Knowledge of audience research and customer segmentation techniques

• Experience with doing audience and buyer persona research

• Familiarity with web design principles and good understanding of how to optimize content for social media platforms

• Strong analytical and multitasking skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

• Knowledge of graphic design principles and software

• Experience in blogging to increase brand awareness

• Expertise in campaign planning and execution

• Good understanding of social media KPIs
