As part of a hardworking team of diverse analysts, you will conduct thermal and fluids analysis to define the performance and operations for various spaceflight systems, define hardware requirement and resolve technical challenges.We are looking for thermal/fluids engineers of all skill levelsas we expand our portfolio of space vehicles. You will take the ownership of fluid system analysis by conducting 1D-3D thermal/fluid analysis and contribute to our product life cycle process from early conceptual design through completion of the flight mission. Analysis team contributes to deriving component requirements and system sizing and analyze flight or ground process. You will be responsible for documentation and maintenance of analysis inputs, models, and presenting results to stakeholders. Qualifications Minimum of BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, advanced degrees preferred Strong understanding of thermal and fluid mechanics with relevant experience preferably in aerospace industry Have experience in leading major technical trades like space vehicle architecture design, P&ID creation, major vehicle trade studies. Expert in thermal modeling tool SINDA/FLUINT or Thermal Desktop is required. Capable of mentoring and guiding other engineers in proactive and constructive ways. Builds trust and maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion and collaboration Owns delivery of large-scale analysis solutions, and partners with engineers across the organization for shared objectives. Responsible for impact on the success of team or organizational objectives. Serve as the technical mentor to other members, strong hands-on experience and be able to resolve analysis modeling challenges (e.g. divergence of a complex system model) Train and coach less experienced members on the team Guides the successful completion of major programs. Researches and leads adoption of new technologies. Delivers high-level, multi-system architecture analysis that define the direction for the team and partner organizations to solve complex problem sets. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired: Previous technical lead experience is a plus. Experience in Propulsion Budget development of space vehicle going through mission timeline is a plus Experience with modeling propulsion/cryogenic fluids management (storage, transfer, phase change,...) Expert in Thermal Desktop, SINDA/FLUINT Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Knowledge of other tools including MATLAB, Simulink, Amesim Successful candidates typically have 0 to 40+ years of relevant proven experience in design and analysis of aerospace thermal systems Advanced graduate degrees (Masters or PhD) Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., MATLAB, Python, C/C++, FORTRAN) Active/passive Thermal/Pressure Control System/component design Compensation range for on site CO applicants is $153,839-$215,374 Compensation range for on site WA a
