This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. To further Blue Origin's mission of having millions of people living and working in space, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface. Our MK2 Crew Lander mission will demonstrate the lander's core capabilities - including the privately funded BE-7 landing engine, precision landing sensors, and integrated power and propulsion architecture - as a precursor to certifying the vehicle for use by NASA as part of the Artemis lunar exploration program. The team building this vehicle is rethinking how space systems are designed, with a high-performance architecture, efficient reusability, and rapid design iteration. As part of a hardworking team of diverse specialists, technicians, and engineers, you will work to design, analyze, build, test, integrate, deliver, and operate fluids and propulsion subsystems on Lunar landers. Special Mentions Relocation provided Occasional travel up to 15% of the time 1st Shift: 8am - 5pm Interviews will include a technical assessment Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Technical leadership and individual contribution to the Lunar Lander Fluids and Propulsion system design Manage an integrated set of CAD models of lunar vehicle fluids components in CREO Create CAD models of fluids and propulsion components, tubing and support structure Create Interface Control Models and Interface Control Drawings Negotiate optimized design configs with other teams designing and routing their systems Create geometry products for use across Lunar team for analysis and integration Release engineering drawings in Windchill Incorporate drafting standards and standard drawing notes based on company, program, and industry standards. Perform model and drawing check activities during release reviews. Mentor and train junior designers This position reports to the Fluids Technical Design CAD Manager. Qualifications: 10+ years experience with automotive, aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicle modeling and engineering drawing creation B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related technical subject area Strong mechanical design and integration skills Capable of working in CREO and Windchill environment. Proficient in standard fits, tolerance stacks, and GD&T analysis (ASME Y14.5). Proficient in drawing generation, familiar with checking and release processes. Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion. Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. Desired: Experience working in a multi-functional team with engineers, designers, analysts to optimize complex designs. B.S
