This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's multiple Blue Moon lander product lines. We are looking for Engineers at all career levels within the Crew and Life Support Systems (CLSS) disciplines. As part of a hardworking team of diverse engineers, you will collaborate with the Crew Systems, Extravehicular Activity, Environmental Control and Life Support, and Crew Interface teams to design, develop, and qualify CLSS products to support crew health and habitability in Cislunar and Lunar Surface environments. You will engage in all levels of the design cycle for system components including conceptual design, requirements, system modeling, layouts, analysis, modeling and drafting, procurement support, manufacturing and integration support, test definition, and mission support. Additional responsibilities include the development of training hardware, Human-in-the-Loop testing, and Concept of Operations (ConOps) development. You will play a key role in developing the Lunar Transportation system that will return humans to the Moon and extend human presence permanently beyond the bounds of Earth. Responsibilities: Author requirements to address both customer and Blue Origin needs for the Crew and Life Supports Systems Subsystem Define interfaces between systems and elements Author safety artifacts, including hazard mitigations Define tailored technical standards and verification strategies Develop subsystem-level verification and validation activity definition including subsystem-level verification and validation events and integration of subsystem-level events Author requirement non-compliance rationale to gain customer disposition Track metrics against requirements, verification, and certification products Perform technical work and provide technical leadership of the highest caliber Utilize good engineering and business judgment to ensure the most efficient and effective product is designed, manufactured, procured, tested, qualified, and delivered.
