As a Service Reliability Engineer at Stanley, you will play a crucial role in shaping and optimizing our software development and deployment processes. We are in the early stages of implementing DevOps practices, and you will have the opportunity to build and lead our Service Reliability initiatives from the ground up. As part of the Foundational Technology team, you will work on creating the frameworks and owning the technology that's leveraged by other teams (eCommerce, Enterprise Data, etc.) to ensure we're building with consistent and well-understood practices and with appropriate role definition and supporting documentation. You'll work closely with our development and IT teams to streamline workflows, automate processes, and ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of our platforms. What You'll Do Develop Broad Best-Practices for Stanley's Technology and Development Teams Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design consistent practices to meet the needs of development teams with consistent security, reporting, and accountability Support system monitoring, performance tuning, and security best practices Troubleshooting and resolving issues across various technology stacks and environments. Develop broadly applicable solutions for tech activities including deployment, release management, monitoring, etc. Partner with area-specific teams to implement Own the code repository, sharing, and CI/CD products used across Stanley's technology teams Provide fast and thoughtful issue resolution by executing quick fixes or proactively identifying and solving problems related to builds in production environments. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members as well as outside agencies and consultants, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing culture within the organization Provide input into the roadmaps of teams representing upstream dependencies to help improve the overall program of work Who You Are Thrive on tackling complex challenges and finding creative solutions to improve our DevOps practices and infrastructure Excel in a collaborative environment, working seamlessly across teams to achieve common goals. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience 5+ years experience as a Service Reliability Engineer Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer/SRE in an e-commerce environment. Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices, such as Jenkins, Travis CI, or GitHub Actions.
