Amazon Senior Vendor Manager, Retail - US Camera in Seattle, Washington

The Camera team is on a mission to build the best place on earth for consumers to discover, purchase and enjoy using the Camera and Equipment that best fits their needs. We are looking for a customer-obsessed and results oriented leader to join the Camera team as a Senior Vendor Manager to lead a retail product category.

Key job responsibilities

The successful candidate will be able to take their broad skill set and experience across multiple facets of a retail business (e.g., buying/vendor management, product management, operations, finance, marketing/merchandising) to identify and create growth opportunities. They will be able to deliver results at both a strategic and tactical level across all aspects of the business to innovate to achieve long-term growth. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to move on to other leadership roles within Amazon.

A day in the life

As a Senior Vendor Manager, you will have accountability for the business results for your product subcategories. Your direct responsibility will be to manage performance of the product portfolio including developing and growing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, expanding product selection and vendor base, setting prices, developing marketing programs, driving sales and margin improvements and creating best-in-class customer experiences.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of with Excel experience

  • 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience

  • Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience

  • Experience using data to influence business decisions

  • Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration

  • Experience with business analysis and P&L management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams

  • MBA

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Access or SQL

  • Experience presenting to senior leadership

  • Experience in e-commerce

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $96,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
