Amazon Senior UX Designer, Seller Analytics and Growth in Seattle, Washington

Description

The Analytics and Growth UX team seeks a Sr. UX Designer to help design stellar “insight-to-action” analytics and recommendations experiences that strategically empower sellers to grow their business through data-driven decisions.

In this role, you will will be responsible for the design of the end-to-end Customer Analytics experience, which enables sellers to understand customer behavior and insights as well as take strategic action to increase customer engagement, loyalty, and lifetime value. You will drive a longer-term analytics vision, experiment on information architecture, launch new visualization design components, and advise on research and product definition. You will invent big ideas while attending to details, tirelessly advocate for design excellence, and collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders, leading by example to raise the bar on design and inspire those around you.

The ideal candidate has expertise in information architecture, analytics design, information visualization, and interaction design. They have significant experience leading end-to-end design strategy and execution by effectively communicating with and influencing stakeholders. They have designed for large data sets, and cross-device experiences (e.g. desktop, mobile, API) and have advanced skills in Figma, design systems, and component libraries.

Key job responsibilities

In this role, the Sr. UX Designer will:

  • Lead design initiatives for our analytics and recommendations products to help sellers analyze data and take strategic actions to grow their business.

  • Create an empowering design vision so sellers can easily understand their customers and business and make confident, data-driven decisions.

  • Design innovative experiences to provide sellers personalized guidance on growth strategies tailored to their unique business goals.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand organizational goals and ensure we build cohesive analytics and growth experiences that solve seller needs and drive business success.

  • Apply systems-level thinking to drive scalable design solutions, identify opportunities to standardize UX, and build reusable components.

  • Drive design strategy and planning across organizations, including leadership presentations and seller events.

About the team

The Seller Analytics and Growth organization enables sellers to grow and optimize their business worldwide through innovative self-service analytics and AI recommendation solutions. We provide sellers ground truth data about customer demand, generate data insights about their businesses, produce AI-enabled opportunity recommendations, and guide sellers on taking action and tracking outcomes in one seamless experience.

Basic Qualifications

  • 8+ years of design experience

  • Have an available online portfolio

  • Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign and prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax

  • Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design

  • Experience with UX design of complex workflows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity

  • Experience defining and maintaining design patterns and UX standards

  • Experience working with stakeholders to plan and execute programs that are strategic in nature

  • Have an online portfolio or samples of work on resume, demonstrating experience creating great end-to-end, user-centered design solutions and patterns, across desktop and mobile devices

  • Experience acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research) and creating personas and journey maps

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
