Come join our team to help work on the hardest problems in rocketry.As part of a hardworking team of diverse launch vehicle development engineers, you will study and develop advanced concepts for reusable in-space and reentry systems and solve challenging problems in trajectory analysis and mission design. Passion for our mission and vision is required!Responsibilities:Lead trajectory mission, and maneuver design for Earth-to-orbit and reentry vehiclesProduce analysis documentation and lead peer review of analysis artifactsBound vehicle design by developing use cases, concepts of operation, and supporting the development of driving requirementsCollaboratively trade and optimize system architectures, and missions to achieve interdisciplinary design objectives and satisfy constraintsUse fundamental knowledge of flight and orbital mechanics to sanity check the results of computer programsQualifications:Minimum of a M.S. degree in Aerospace Engineering or equivalent7+ years applied industry experience focused on development of launch or reentry vehiclesDemonstrated knowledge of systems engineering practices such as requirements and verification, system architecture, developing CONOPS, creating models and performing system simulations, performing trade studies, and establishing system metricsA strong, proven understanding of orbital mechanics, astrodynamics, and Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC)Experience using trajectory analysis tools such as POST or OTISExperience with a scripting language or platform such as MATLAB, Python, or JuliaExperience working collaboratively in small teams on dynamic, fast-paced projectsApplicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident alien (current Green Card holder)Desired:Ph.D. in Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace engineering focusing on atmospheric flight and reentry systems10+ years relevant experience with at least 4 years spent leading a complex multi-disciplinary teamSpacecraft mission operations flight experienceFamiliarity with version control, preferably GitExperience with collaboration tools like Confluence and JIRAThe expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act.
