You'll have the freedom (and encouragement) to experiment, improve, invent, and innovate on behalf of our customers. This is a strategic role to shape and deliver a technical strategy for improving the Prime Video customer experience and creating visibility into the end-to-end delivery of content. You will lead a high-visibility and high-impact program collaborating with various teams across Prime Video. You will own regular communication with senior leadership on technology, dependency management, risk mitigation and program health.A day in the lifeYou will own long-running programs to make Prime Video even more reliable for customers. In that capacity, you will directly own goals with visibility throughout (and beyond) Prime Video. You will own the execution of projects to meet those goals, including communication to senior leadership and stakeholders. You will work with teams across Prime Video and throughout Amazon to influence organisational roadmaps and strategy.About the hiring groupThe Prime Video READI (Resilience, Efficiency, Availability, and Demand Insights) team make all Prime Video systems more available and efficient. We are a fast-growing and diverse team of Software Development Engineers, Data Scientists, and Technical Program Managers distributed across the US, UK and Canada. We work on hard, industry-scale problems, re-inventing approaches to high-availability, observability, scalability and large-scale data modelling.Job responsibilitiesIn addition to continuously executing against the core mission of higher availability, you will work closely with cross-functional counterparts in engineering, product management, marketing, finance, and executive teams to launch new features, to develop and grow business opportunities, and to enhance our customer experience. You will work with internal and external stakeholders, cross-functional partners, and end-users around the world at all levels and will contribute to the Prime Video roadmap by identifying and prioritising customer requirements. You live and breathe data analysis, and can succinctly and accurately communicate your insights to drive action.* 5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with software engineering teams* Experience managing cross-functional programs and release schedules* Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design* Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps* Willingness to travel, with an expectation of between four and six weeks per year.* Ability to conceptualize complex interrelated applications and system platforms, as well as the ability to effectively communicate those systems to non-technical team members and business partners* Experience building new products from experiments* Strong bias for action and a "get it done" attitude* Ability to work effectively with remote teamsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
