Amazon Senior Technical Program Manager, Pricing Systems in Seattle, Washington

Description

Amazon's Centralized Pricing team is seeking a driven Senior Technical Program Manager to help manage our price competitive program across different teams to successful delivery on our mission of generating fresh customer-relevant prices on billions of Amazon and Third Party Seller products worldwide.

We are looking for a talented, organized, and customer-focused person to add to our technical program management function, partnering effectively with both our category teams, Business Engineers, Data scientists, engineers, and multiple cross-functional stakeholder & dependency teams within Pricing, Promotions, and across Amazon.

This role requires an individual with excellent team leadership skills, outstanding business acumen, and able to organize across teams. We are looking for an experienced TPM who is a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, demonstrates strong attention to detail, and has the ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Key job responsibilities

  • Plot The Course. Coordinate across Science, Engineering, Product, Business, Legal, and Finance teams to drive improvements to Amazon Price Competitiveness for Retail and 3P.

  • Be The Pulse. Own regular communication mechanisms to keep leadership & stakeholders informed of program progress, risks, timelines, and high judgement decisions.

  • Deliver Results. Lead effective and efficient delivery of large, complex science programs across teams.

  • Drive cross-team alignment with global teams

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience

  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

  • Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
