Job Description

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 5 years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is building a next generation cloud to support customers running both Oracle and custom workloads. As we do that, we have a mission to engage deeply with all edges of Oracle to keep our customers on track and to drive their success with OCI.

We are looking for an experienced Technical Program Manager to join the Oracle Cloud Infrastructure group, under the centralized executive PMO team (it's not your standard PMO!). You will be responsible for managing complex, cross- organizational programs that impact both product and business for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and will have exposure to multiple critical business initiatives.

The PMO team at OCI steers the ship, driving results for the business by partnering with any team required to deliver results. We get things done, figure out how to improve, build what we need to accomplish it, and then tackle the next challenge. The space is fun, large, cross-cutting, and complex.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 7+ years of project/program management experience, developing and implementing strategy, then executing against large, cross-cutting programs.

  • Experience creating and managing highly complex operational or technical projects and programs.

  • Ability to own and manage multiple projects simultaneously while dealing with ambiguity.

  • Experience working with large remote, matrixed, cross-functional organizations, which may include operations, development, product management, and release engineering teams.

  • You display a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically.

  • You are a self-starter and comfortable operating at a fast pace with minimal direction.

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and can accurately articulate project status and risks across teams and up to an Executive-level audience.

  • You possess strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills leveraging data.

  • You are results oriented, meaning you are focused on driving results, even if it means rolling up your sleeves to get it done

  • You possess a background that enables you to understand the complexities of the sophisticated architecture of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

  • You demonstrate maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence, analytical and leadership skills.
