Position Overview The Sr Software Product Manager manages the cross functional development and implementation of software solutions that support Adaptive’s core products and operational workflows. Heavily influences alignment across cross-functional teams in support of product and program delivery. Monitors programs from initiation through delivery. Organizes the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/program on schedule and within budget constraints. Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions Voice of the customer/Product roadmap *Maintains feature backlog and keeps sight of product scenarios, influencing business stakeholders on path forward *Designs and documents feature scenarios *Contributes to the product vision and business objectives *Represents s/w component area, and occasionally cross-component areas in PMO working group and core team meetings Product design and Delivery *Understands component architecture and interaction with peer systems *Applies a strategic understanding of the timing and rationale for design choices for feature areas *Reviews and contributes to the designs of peers *Identifies feature-level dependencies and establishes milestone release criteria to manage them Process *Applies SDLC processes to release planning, estimation, feature design, release scope documentation and validation test planning and execution *Participates in design, code, and test planning and reviews across feature areas, understands the root causes of issues, and finds ways to resolve them *Uses experience and expertise to improve process Position Requirements *Bachelors + 7 years of related experience, or *Masters + 5 years of related experience *Product design and delivery experience *Ability to engage with customers/partners to synthesize solutions from known business requirements/constraints *Ability to collaborate with engineering, UX, quality assurance, devOps and other peer engineering disciplines to drive planning, execution and delivery of s/w systems *Highly proficient in systems design *Highly proficient in SDLC management *Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills *Experience with technology in the healthcare/biotech industry is preferred but not required
