UW MEDICAL CENTER - NORTHWEST BEHAVIORAL HEALTH has an outstanding opportunity for a SENIOR SOCIAL WORKER - BEHAVIORAL HEALTH .

WORK SCHEDULE • Per Diem • Rotating/Variable Shifts

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS • Support the Intensive Outpatient Program by covering psychoeducational groups

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Utilize medical record and consultation with interdisciplinary staff to screen patients for service needs, provide information regarding Social Work activity and to coordinate care as part of an interdisciplinary team • Assess for the psychosocial and disposition planning needs of patients and when appropriate, their support systems, and develops appropriate interventions to address such needs • Provide patient-centered care by treating patients and their support systems with respect and dignity, involving them in their care whenever possible • Serve as liaison between medical staff and patients/families, providing support and advocacy as needed

REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS A Master of Social Work Degree from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education and one year of full-time social work experience in a health care setting or equivalent. Experience can include a practicum placement as part of a social work training program and/or employment experience.

LEGAL REQUIREMENT Must hold one of the following credentials issued by the state of Washington: • Agency Affiliated Counselor • Licensed Social Work Associate -Advanced • Licensed Social Work Associate - Independent Clinical • Licensed Advance Social Worker • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker
