Providence Health & Services Senior Service Engineer in Seattle, Washington
Providence St. Joseph Health is calling a Senior Service Engineer PSJH to our location in Seattle, WA; Redmond, WA; Portland, OR; Irvine, CA or Beaverton, OR.
As a Senior Service Engineer, you will join a team of highly motivated individuals that provide virtual applications to 150,000 caregivers across our enterprise. Your role will be multifaceted and will require engagement with different technology pillars across the organization. Additionally, strong relationships with various clinical teams, and regular engagement with various technology vendors to stay in alignment with their current and future offerings is a must! Internal to our technology pillar, you will work closely with the VAD (Virtual Application Delivery) engineering team, as well as our Platform Operations team to ensure stable, reliable, and performant delivery of our application portfolio to all caregivers across the enterprise.
In this position you will have the following responsibilities:
Advises on caregiver, business, and technical requirements. Uses expertise to design components of a service architecture, and operability and caregiver scenarios that meet compliance standards and KPIs, such as quality, cost, and caregiver expectation.
Advises on and incorporates the team's standards and best practices into all designs to create high-performance, manageable services.
Contributes to the design of a service delivery system by evaluating and recommending options for tools, hardware, and processes that enable the team to create a complete system that supports service delivery and meets KPIs.
Performs advanced troubleshooting and engineers solutions for complex (for example, unexpected or unanticipated) service issues to restore service with minimal disruption to the caregiver and business.
Owns the problem, solving it once and for all. Extrapolates from past experiences and delivers innovations.
Actively takes part in disaster recovery drills. Participates as needed in incident response management during non-working hours.
Uses expertise to contribute to the design of process or technology solutions that identify and resolve platform, system, deployment and environmental issues prior to solutionion release, and that ensure an on-time release with predictable high quality.
Triages problems and uses problem management tools (such as root cause analysis, trend analysis, and postmortems) to discover and drive solutions across the service team.
Defines and collects metrics (such as service availability data, performance measures, system health, and long-term trends) to support service intelligence analysis.
Analyzes and tracks operational cost data and reports trends, budget risk, and variance against the projected cost model to the business.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent education/experience.
5 years IT technical experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Citrix Certified Professional (CCP-V)
Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)
Experienced with Sysinternals tools like Process Monitor, PsExec, etc.
Experience with virtual application packaging and deployment technologies like AppV, MSIX, Chocolatey and Citrix App Layering.
Expert level knowledge of Windows profiles in virtual environments with a keen eye on end user performance
Expert level knowledge of Powershell
Strong knowledge of the Citrix Powershell SDK
Familiarity with CVADs REST APIs
