Amazon Senior Security Technical Program Manager, Corporate Services Security – Third-Party in Seattle, Washington

Within Amazon, our Corporate Services Security (CPSS) Third-Party Security Assurance (TSA) team hold our vendors to a high bar, and we ensure that our vendors are protecting our customer and employee data accordingly.

We are looking for a Senior Security Technical Program Manager to own CPSS’ Third-Party Security Assurance Program. In this role you will operate across multiple Amazon Security teams that support Amazon’s third-party services, and you will leverage diverse expertise to drive strategic risk reduction with business leaders at the highest levels. You will build and continuously improve internal team processes and workflows to scale our services and meet the diverse needs of our customers. To be successful, you must be comfortable driving cross-team efforts and making independent decisions about your program. You will provide crystal-clear vision and direction for diverse engineering and business leaders, and connect experts across disciplines to develop solutions that would otherwise not be feasible. Key job responsibilities

  • Own your program, inside and out. Build relationships to understand and guide the roadmap of all teams you support

  • Define requirements and success criteria based while operating in ambiguity

  • Gather knowledge, define projects, and coordinate execution and reporting across multiple global partner teams

  • Identify and produce the right kind of business metrics, and continually assess them to improve over time

  • Apply security expertise in technical discussions, keeping all stakeholders productively engaged

  • Directly represent our organization to business leaders and technical staff at all levels of the company

  • Prepare and present detailed, written technical information for internal and external audiences

  • Possess sharp analytic abilities and business acumen, with proven design skills

About the team

The Corporate Services Security Third-Party Security (CPSS 3P) team is responsible for establishing secure third-party data sharing relationships for Corporate Services teams. Our team works to identify, track, monitor, mitigate, and report security risks. Through adoption of security controls that scale, and the assessment of third-parties and vendors, we are able to ensure Amazon's high security bar is exceeded.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps, including the preparation of technical specifications and executive communications

  • Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building scalable processes, defining service catalogs, and coordinating execution

  • 4+ years of experience in two or more of the following security domains categories: Pentesting, Security Architecture, Data Analytics, SDLC, or Appsec

  • Demonstrated proficiency in at least one agile program management tool (ex: Asana, Smartsheet, Trello, Teamwork, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Ability to take ownership of program ambiguity, mitigate risk, and produce results

  • Proficiency in prioritizing concurrent workstreams in order to deliver impact

  • Security risk identification and mitigation experience within a large-scale environment

  • Experience communicating with a wide range of technical & non-technical stakeholders and leaders

  • An understanding of security, web services, multi-tiered systems, workflow modeling, and enterprise application integration

  • Familiarity with SQL, Python, and/or Tableau

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
