Our work depends on a Senior SAS Programme r joining our team to supporting the CMS Hospital Quality Reporting (HQR) Program.
This is a remote based role; candidates must live in the US
In this role, a typical day will include:
Generating new code and corrects, converts, and/or modifies existing code to meet specifications
Prepare detailed specifications from which code will be written.
Confers with end-users to analyze specified methods and procedures, identify problems, and document specific requirements.
Writes and updates technical documentation, including users’ manuals, product specifications, and training materials.
Perform a variety of testing procedures on assigned products, analyzes test results, and corrects problems.
Maintain current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.
Participate in special projects as required.
Gathers and/or clarifying business and technical requirements with data requestors.
Provides technical and analytic input to analytic team.
Plans, develops, tests, and documents SAS programs.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 5+ years of experience.
Knowledge of the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures used in computer programming.
Proficiency in the use of SAS tools.
Related experience in analytic programming, data extraction, querying databases/data warehouses and data analysis
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
Professional SAS Certification(s)
Experience with Medicaid and Medicare claims
Programming experience with analysis in the healthcare industry
