Blue Origin LLC Senior QA Engineer in Seattle, Washington

Blue Origin is looking for an experienced senior QA engineer to build, design, develop and lead our quality assurance team. You will be required to oversee all aspects of software and product testing within the company. This may include developing test strategies, drawing up test documents, identifying faults, and reviewing QA reports.To ensure success as a senior QA engineer you should have extensive experience in analytics, high-level problem-solving skills, and the ability to project manage. A top-notch senior QA engineer ensures the smooth running of the QA department and ultimately customer satisfaction.Senior QA Engineer Responsibilities:Meeting with the client, software/product designers to build and determine quality assurance parameters.Leading the QA team in designing QA test procedures.Overseeing the drafting of testing documents.Implementing testing procedures and overseeing the QA process.Troubleshooting quality issues and modifying test procedures.Analyze risk assessments of software / products, and the ability to draw alternative what if scenario plans.Conducting analysis checks on product specifications.Reviewing Quality Assurance reports.Evaluates the adequacy and compliance of systems, operations, and practices against regulation and company documentationProvides project or technical support in the development, analysis and maintenance of systems, software, processes, products or equipmentEnsuring the successful deployment of products into the market.Responding to requests from the design team and management.Ability to travel at least 25 to 35% annually.Senior QA Engineer Requirements:Previous QA experience (3+ years) in a manufacturing, technology, or other challenging, time driven, enterprise level environment.Bachelor's degree in computer science, product management or relevant field.Managerial experience preferred.High-level analytical skills.Advanced written and verbal communication skills.Critical thinker.Ability to project manage.Detail oriented.Passionate about space exploration.Desired experience:Ability to write, maintain and verify test casesExperience in testing methodologies and theoriesWork with developers & technical support to assist in their resolutionConsistently strives to enhance technical knowledgeDevelops test plans, test specifications, test cases and test scriptsAnalyzes test results to ensure quality standards are met and the software meets/exceeds documented business requirementsExport Control RegulationsApplicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S.as a refugee or granted asylum.Equal Employment OpportunityBlue Origin is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer and is committed to attracting, retaining, and developing a highly qualified, diverse, and dedicated work force.
