Title: Senior Property Accountant

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service to Residents and Team Members by achieving the standards.

• Prepares monthly operating statements and management reports for assigned communities.

• Responsible for monthly journal entry preparation and account reconciliation.

• Prepare monthly commercial billings and annual CAM estimates/reconciliations for retail properties.

• Supports community and regional personnel with accounting related issues.

• Review and approval of cash disbursements for assigned communities.

• Internal auditing of community records as required.

• Ability to learn and utilize accounting, leasing, and other applicable software and technology

Requirements

• 5 years of total accounting experience

• Real estate accounting or someone who has public accounting/CPA

• BA degree in Accounting

• Experience using Yardi Voyager or other related accounting systems a plus

• Strong time management and organizational skills

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written and ability to carry out written or oral instructions

• Self-starting personality that can work well with limited direction.

• Demonstrates intellectual curiosity; seeks new approaches and challenges that contribute to success at both an individual and team level
