The UW in the High School has an outstanding opportunity for a Senior Program Manager to join their team. POSITION PURPOSE

The UW in the High School (UWHS) Senior Program Manager develops, leads, and evaluates strategic initiatives and activities to grow and enhance this nationally accredited program.

UWHS is a large outreach program delivering UW coursework to more than 7,000 students in more than 100 high schools across Washington. Taught by UW-approved teachers, the UW courses offered through UWHS include sciences, math, humanities, and world languages and are overseen by UW faculty from across campus.

The UWHS Senior Program Manager is a key member of the UWHS team, and collaborates with the UWHS Director and Program Administrator, other units within Continuum College (e.g. marketing, finance, registration), and UW faculty from a wide range of departments to achieve strategic goals around student access and equity, school partnerships, program growth, and financial sustainability.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Partnership Development
• Develops and maintains productive and collaborative relationships with campus partners, participating high schools, Continuum College staff, and other program stakeholders • Develops and implements ongoing communications with campus partners regarding program activities and updates • Encourages and serves as a resource for faculty to conduct additional and innovative professional development for participating teachers • Reviews, updates, and enhances program websites for high schools and campus partners

Program Management • Develops the annual budget and monitors the financial performance of UWHS • Manage and enhance the policies and procedures regarding use of state funding for student registrations • Participates in annual strategic planning and program review with UWHS staff • Facilitates successful resolution of course and program-level issues, such as teacher absences and student issues • Manages the application and approval process for new teachers, in partnership with campus faculty • Manages the syllabus review and approval process for all courses in the high schools, in partnership with campus faculty • Manages the late registration petition process for students • Reviews and analyzes the results from evaluations of courses and teacher trainings, and leads review with UWHS staff • Collaborates with Continuum College marketing on development of the program website and promotional materials • Performs other program management duties as assigned

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline • 4-5 years of relevant experience in the development and management of academic courses/programs, including budgeting and partner relationship management

Equivalent education/experience will substitute for all minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license/certification/registration. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Strong working knowledge of both K-12 and higher education • Demonstrated project management skills and successful leadership of complex projects
