Amazon Senior Program Manager, Denied Party Screening in Seattle, Washington

Description

The Denied Party Screening (DPS) mission is to prevent denied entities from transacting with Amazon businesses. As the DPS Program Manager, your primary responsibility will be to manage the work (intake, prioritization, etc.) of the compliance program. You will also lead projects with significant scope and impact supporting several different areas of the business. In this role, you will work to deliver value to the customer, meeting the scope, budget, and timeline of the effort. The program is cross functional and requires strong communication skills to coordinate onsite and remote work with teams across the globe. You will coordinate with DPS management, Amazon Legal, Amazon InfoSec/AppSec, and multiple other teams in the development of DPS compliance solutions and other efforts that enable operations. You will be responsible for end-to-end project management.

Key job responsibilities

· Develop and manage projects from beginning to end, including project scope, timeline, capacity planning, resource allocation, and project execution.

· Provide project management and direction to ensure the project team has a clear understanding of timelines, risks, escalation path and roles/responsibilities they will undertake within the project team.

· Act as an escalation point for the project team and project stakeholders.

· Proactively manage change control and communicate impact in project scope, identify issues, and devising contingency plans.

· Coordinate periodic business review and strategic documents

· Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths.

· Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using project management tools.

· Track, monitor, and communicate project milestones, deliverables, schedule, budget, and risks.

· Update or develop documentation on processes that are critical to successfully implementing your projects.

Basic Qualifications

  • 6+ years of program or project management experience

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  • Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of driving process improvements experience

  • Bachelor's degree

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $104,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
