Partnering closely with engineering, design, marketing, and cross-functional teams across Amazon, you will be the driving force behind the seamless integration of Gift Registries with the broader Amazon ecosystem. This includes leading the technical implementation of new partnerships, expanding the product to international markets, launching registries for new occasions, and realizing our vision of allowing customers to add to their registries from anywhere on Amazon. A successful candidate will have:

  • Strong business acumen and experience managing numerous business input and output metrics

  • Proven track record in delivering customer-facing experiences at scale, conducting impactful A/B tests, writing strategy documents and presenting plans to leadership.

  • Demonstrated success in driving cross-functional initiatives and managing complex projects

  • Experience owning/driving product roadmap vision, strategy, definition, feature delivery and disambiguating tradeoffs

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trust and align diverse teams

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, startup-like environment and a strong motivation to achieve results

  • Excellent technical aptitude and hands-on experience with modern software development practices and emerging technologies

Key job responsibilities

  • Leverage data analysis and A/B testing to understand customer behavior, trends, and preferences, and iterate towards the long-term vision

  • Establish the mission, goals, roadmap, supporting business metrics and indicators for success

  • Lead generation and delivery of innovative ideas in collaboration with engineering, BI, design, and marketing partners

  • Craft comprehensive requirements documents that effectively translate business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring clear communication and coordination with engineering team. Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure the scalability, reliability, and performance of the core registry infrastructure.

  • Manage cross-functional bottlenecks, manage escalations, and balance technical constraints with business objectives to maximize customer value

  • Identify new opportunities for Amazon to pioneer in the Gifting and Gift Registry space

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience performing statistical analysis of data using SQL, Excel and other tools

  • Master's degree in Business Administration from a top tier school

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
