If so, the Alexa Smart Home team is looking for a Sr. Technical Product Manager to define and build the Smart Home experience of the future where everything can be fully automated. Our team is focused on leveraging cutting-edge technology and to make life at home more convenient, secure, and sustainable through automation.

As Sr. Product Manager - Technical, you will be leading product management for highly visible products while developing consumer-focused product vision, and and long-term strategy. In this role, you will define requirements for the automations platform that will enable home automations at scale for millions of customers. You will work across engineering, data science, user experience, user research, go-to-market, and cross organization stakeholders to bring your product from ideation to launch.

You will launch new products globally by adapting and scaling them across a range of geographies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for innovation, be comfortable with ambiguity, and be motivated by a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.

Key job responsibilities

  • Define the long-term vision and strategy for Alexa Smart Home automation

  • Define high quality product roadmaps based on internal/external research, analysis, and data

  • Lead business requirements and user stories that can be used to create product specifications

  • Drive prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, cost, and timelines

  • Work closely with engineering teams, and program management to deliver products to market

  • Drive product launches including working with marketing team, executives, and other product management team members

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience as a product manager or owner

  • Experience owning technology products

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights

  • Experience working across functional teams and senior stakeholders

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
